Bates Wells promotes five to partnership

Bates Wells has expanded its partnership with five new promotions. This news means that the firm’s overall partner headcount has increased to 37.

Congratulations to Tim Barnden (Immigration); Erica Crump (Charity & Social Enterprise, Culture + Creative); Emma Dowden-Teale (Public & Regulatory); Jamie Huard (Real Estate); Leticia Jennings (Dispute Resolution, Legacies, Trusts & Probate Disputes), who have all been made up as partners, effective from 1 April 2017.

BWB’s most recent full-year results for 2015/2016 saw the firm record a turnover of £22.2m, an increase of 9% on the previous financial year.

Martin Bunch, our managing partner, said, “While BWB is eager to recruit talent from across the market, we have always sought to develop and promote from within by developing and advancing the careers of our people.”

“Today’s promotions demonstrate the strength and depth that we have across the firm, and underline how well positioned we are across all practice areas to increase growth over the coming years.”

“Growing the firm in a way that ensures we can rise to the challenge of changing market conditions has always been a central part of our commercial strategy. This expansion of the partnership ultimately allows us to draw on the firm’s expertise across a range of areas to achieve this aim.”
