Bates Wells partnership executive officer writes for Legal Compliance Bulletin

Bates Wells’ partnership executive officer Peter Bennett has had an article featured in the November issue of Legal Compliance Bulletin, the Law Society’s journal for Compliance Officers for Legal Practice (COLPs).

As the title suggests (“Matter risk system: 11 years of evidence”), Peter’s article examines BWB’s matter-level risk management system, which has saved the firm over £6m since its introduction in 2006.

Specifically, aside from the day-to-day savings created by this program, Peter describes how the introduction of a similar system can help any professional service firm (irrespective of jurisdiction) in to reduce costs associated with professional indemnity claims.

Published on a bi-monthly basis and read by hundreds of COLPs, Legal Compliance Bulletin aims to, in its words, “provide up-to-date, very practical information” on all of the issues affecting legal compliance and regulatory professionals.
