Corporate LiveWire: Philip Trott writes on impact of government immigration policy on M&A transactions

Philip Trott, Partner in Bates Wells Braithwaite’s Immigration team, has written for the latest issue of Corporate LiveWire on the impact of immigration policy on M&A transactions.

Philip’s article is featured in the Corporate LiveWire issue entitled “Immigration Law 2018 – Expert Guide”, and outlines a number of considerations which companies undergoing a merger or acquisition need to bear in mind throughout the M&A process.

Besides urging companies to take into account the Government’s Prevention of Illegal Working regime and its Sponsor Licensing process, Philip concludes by stating that companies must “ensure that their due diligence processes and personnel files are up-to-date” to “avoid falling foul of the law”.
