The Hot 100 is a list which, in the words of The Lawyer’s editorial team, seeks to recognise “lawyers who have made a significant contribution to the profession in the last year and the rising stars who are the ones to watch in the next 12 months.”
Paul’s nomination follows a year in which he and associate Rachel Mathieson advised James Farrar and Yaseen Aslam on their successful Court of Appeal case against Uber. The case produced widespread media interest in the national and legal trade press given the significant impact the case is likely to have on the UK’s gig economy.
Aside from his work in this matter, the Hot 100 team has also featured a Q&A with Paul featuring reflections from him on his career, his future aims and advice he would give to those aspiring to a career in employment law.
