LexisNexis: Philip Trott and Matthew James comment on the Shamima Begum case

Philip Trott and Matthew James from our Immigration department have written a piece for LexisNexis discussing the legal situation of Shamima Begum following her request to return to the UK.


In their analysis, Philip and Matthew look at the legal perspective of what Shamima Begum’s options are to challenge the revovation order stripping her British citizenship, and take a look at if there are any alternative legal paths for her to return to the UK even without citizenship. 

Their aritcle goes on to discuss if Shamima’s personal circumstances, such as the fact she has recently given birth, will have any impact on her legal situation.
