Bates Wells acts on disposal of leading medical negligence practice

Transaction: Bates Wells acted for the retiring partners of Parlett Kent in relation to the closure of their practice and simultaneous arrangements for Leigh Day & Co to become their successor practice. Bates Wells negotiated the legal documentation and liaised with the SRA regarding successor practice matters.

Client: Caroline Jenkins and Magi Young over 3 decades built up Parlett Kent into a leading niche medical law practice with offices in both central London and Exeter.

Lawyers: Peter Bohm (Partner) led the team and was assisted by Paul Seath (Partner) in the employment team.

Observations: This was the second disposal of a legal practice that Bates Wells has acted on this year. Bates Wells expects to close more professional services mergers over the summer.
