The role

This 12 month maternity cover is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a top ranked immigration practice alongside passionate leaders who enjoy offering a personalised and bespoke service to their broad client base. Our Immigration team provides strategic advice to multinational corporations and large charities, small start-up companies, as well as religious organisations. Candidates should be qualified solicitors with 1 – 3 years’ experience in corporate immigration, possess in-depth knowledge of the Points Based System with extensive experience making applications under the Tier 2 and Tier 5 categories. Experience of advising in relation to Sole Representative visas is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

- Management of your own workload which will include providing accurate and practical advice to clients on all aspects of the UK immigration and nationality law with particular emphasis on advising individual and commercial clients on the operation of the Immigration Rules, and their interaction with the Points Based System.

- Assisting with the preparing of UK visa applications and providing bespoke strategic advice.

- Assisting with the preparing of applications both within and outside the Points Based System including drafting Sponsor Licence Applications, Certificates of Sponsorship, SMS Reports, Compliance Packs, Entry Clearance applications and Further Leave to Remain applications under the Tier 2 and 5 categories.

- Advising in connection with the RLMT, eligibility requirements and carrying out assessments for the Tier 2 General, Minister of Religion and Intra-Company Transferee sub categories.
