OnBoard Seminar: Focus on Leadership

Outstanding leadership is essential for good governance. This can be underpinned by good governance practices, governance models and approaches that are fit for purpose and anticipating and recognising trends internal and external to the organisation. How can you engage and motivate your board members? OnBoard consultant Tesse Akpeki brings the latest thinking, ideas and approaches in governance. Participants will be encouraged to share their issues, concerns, successes and thinking. At the end of this event, participants will have a menu of practices that work, links between theory and practice and steps that will bolster behavioural governance.

Tesse Akpeki
OnBoard consultant, Tesse Akpeki is a lawyer, an accredited CEDR mediator and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She has served as an Equal Opportunities Commissioner, a non-executive board director of West London Mental Health, and is currently a governor of Independent Students Housh (ISH) and Chair of its Governance Committee.

She is an associate of Partners for Innovation Inc., Perrysburg, Ohio, USA and a cooperating consultant of Marga Incorporated, New York USA. She is also an approved NCVO consultant and an Independent Theatre Council trainer. Tesse is an associate of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at the CASS Business School, Charity Trustee Networks, and the Centre for Strategy and Communication.

She brings thoughts from BoardSource, USA and from the transformational programme run for leaders in San Francisco, USA run by the renowned establishment Learn As Lead, USA.

Cancellation Policy.
If you are not able to attend the event, a substitute can be sent in your place.
If a replacement delegate can not be found, we will accept a cancellation up to 3 weeks (21 days) before the event date, with a refund.
If you notify us of a cancellation within 3 weeks of an event, you will incur an administration fee of £25, deductable from your refund.
There will be no refunds issued in the instance of non-attendance on the day with no prior cancellation notification.
