This roundtable celebrates women’s involvement in philanthropy which is extraordinarily diverse but remains largely unrecognised. It is widely acknowledged that women take a strategic and engaged approach to their philanthropy, and that they give across the spectrum from traditional giving to the more innovative forms of social investment and venture philanthropy.

The panel will explore:

- The scene. What does current research and anecdotal evidence tell us about women and their approach to philanthropy? Are there specific research questions that should be asked that would help advisors and charities to better understand their female clients and donors?

- How impact-focused, results-orientated are female philanthropists?

- Are there substantial differences in how men and women engage with their professional advisors (tax, legal, investment, charity) when planning and implementing their philanthropy?

- Should charities create different strategies for cultivating and stewarding male and female donors and their families?
