Following the Charity Commission’s review of the law on investment last year, charitable foundations now have the potential to be more progressive in their investment policy. Some more adventurous charities are engaging with Programme Related Investment and Mixed Motive Investment as set out in the Charity Commission’s Charities and Investment Matters, A Guide for Trustees.
The session will cover the following topics:
- The law as it relates to the investment duties of charity trustees
- How your foundation can be more liberal than you may think
- James Perry of the charitable foundation Panaphur will present on how his charity is engaging with new investment forms
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
