This seminar is aimed at established social enterprises trading in public sector markets and local authorities considering how to create jobs and growth.
The seminar will explore how social enterprises delivering transformative public services can also create jobs and opportunities for people and communities often excluded from the labour market. It features cases studies of successful apprenticeship and employability schemes and practical examples and guidance on how public bodies can include this in the way they commission services. It also explores how access to local targeted funding and investment can support this.
The seminar programme is based on the E3M values of ‘learning together’ in which E3M members and partners share their practical knowledge and experience with one another and with the wider community. Participants will have the chance to ask questions and network throughout the day.
