Employment Workshop: Investigations

Carrying out investigations into potential disciplinary issues or into grievances is now a regular part of the job for any individual with management responsibilities. However, few managers receive training in this area. The investigation is the basis upon which subsequent decisions are made and is also a key part of ensuring a fair process is followed, and could end up the subject of analysis in an Employment Tribunal.

This one hour workshop will look at both the law and practical issues relevant to handling investigations. It will provide delegates with an understanding of the legal framework and through a case study will consider practical steps for investigators.
