Charity campaigns serve many purposes. Some aim to make people aware of an issue or change the way they act; others focus on changing specific legislation. Trustees are ultimately responsible for the charity achieving what it set out to do—what should they be aware of when considering campaigning? How can charities assess whether campaigning is the best way to achieve their goal? And how, after a campaign, can they learn from it? This seminar, in partnership with the Clothworkers’ Company, will:
- Explore tools for trustees to use when deciding on if and how to use campaigning to achieve their goal
- Outline what the Lobbying Bill means for charities’ campaigning activities
- Showcase examples of successful campaigns and the trustees’ role in these
As well as hearing from an expert panel there will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A and discussion. The session will be followed by networking over a glass of wine.
