BWB supports Remember A Charity
BWB are pleased to support Remember A Charity, a consortium of over 140 charities working to encourage more people to consider leaving a charitable gift in their Will, once they’ve looked after their family and friends. Many charities depend on legacies, with legacy income in 2012 contributing £2.05 billion to the voluntary sector. However, while 74 percent of the UK population support charities during their lifetimes, only six percent currently leave a legacy to them in their will.
Remember A Charity Week is an annual awareness raising week which aims to encourage more people to consider leaving a gift to their favourite charities when writing or updating their will. This year’s Remember A Charity Week will take place from 8th to 14th September 2014.
