Nick Glockling and Jessica Clay of the Legal Services Board will be speaking on their recent experience of dealing with their organisation being judicially reviewed, following a decision to approve an application made to it jointly by the Joint Advocacy Group, which was seeking to implement the Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates (QASA). They plan to cover:
• Practical process points throughout the life of a judicial review challenge and the importance of the decision-making process.
• Challenges facing an NDPB when confronted with a judicial review, including seeking support from external legal advisers, managing costs and conflicting time pressures.
• Lessons learned from the process.
The talk will provide NDPB lawyers with an invaluable insight into the realities of handling a judicial review.
