The new public procurement rules – How will the changes affect you?

The new public procurement regulations came into force at the end of February 2015. They are designed to make the procurement process simpler and more flexible and to improve the access of SMEs and voluntary organisations to contract opportunities.

The new regulations abolish the distinction between Part A and Part B services and introduce a new ‘light touch’ regime for health, social care and other areas, amongst other changes. The regulations are likely to have significant impacts on ways of working for the public, third and voluntary sectors.

This seminar will provide delegates with practical guidance on how the new rules differ from the old regime. The session will be helpful to both bidders, and buyers who must procure under the rules. It will cover:
