BWB are proud to be a part of the first annual Crowdfest Conference.

Dates & Times

October 19, 2016 @ 12:00 am - October 20, 2016 @ 12:00 am

The event takes place on 19 and 20 October 2016 and we'll be speaking about crowdfunding in some of our specialist areas - social impact, gaming and regulation. As we are sponsoring the event, we're delighted to be able to provide you with a discount code which you can find below. Sessions we will be moderating, speaking at and participating in are:

  • Crowdfunding the gaming industry: Associate Gemma Boore will coordinate a two hour interactive session where a plethora of industry experts with a experience developing, investing in and advising successful gaming companies will discuss the pros and cons of crowdfunding in the games industry.

  • Social Impact Funding: Solicitor Oliver Hunt, alongside speakers from Big Society Capital, Nesta and Ethex, will discuss how crowdfunding can provide funding for social projects.

  • Essential Regulatory Update: Partner and Head of BWB Compliance Gillian Roche-Saunders will be sharing experiences of how regulation affects crowdfunding. She'll be joined by Crowdcube, Invesdor and others to provide practical insights and to identify where the best opportunities lie.

Crowdfest is the UK's largest ever crowdfunding event. It's going to be interactive and full of useful content from over 60 speakers, 8 workshops, 2 exhibitions and a spectacular opening night party!

The event is organised with the UK Crowd Funding Association and is supported by BWB, the Institute of Directors, Confederation of British Industry, Federation of Small Businesses, UK Business Angels Association, British Banking Association, EIS Association and Better Business Finance.

We hope to see you there and if you have any questions about how to make the most of crowdfunding, we'll have a number of people on site throughout the two days to answer any questions you might have.

If crowdfunding is something you’re actively considering or simply something you want to learn more about, there has never been a better opportunity to discover more about this alternative method of raising finance and how it can be applied across a multitude of sectors and industries.
