This seminar pulls together expertise from Bates Wells' Trade Marks and Advisory & Impact teams. A charity’s brand is a vital asset, with beneficiary delivery and significant fundraising often being achieved by leveraging the brand value. At the same time, charities are often hesitant to see their brands as assets, thereby potentially overlooking valuable opportunities or not sufficiently protecting these assets.
This seminar will look at how charities can value their brands, taking into account both financial and reputational factors, as well as how they can best protect and use their brand for improved beneficiary outcome and fundraising. It will look at planning transactions to realise value from brands and will touch on social franchising, amongst others, as well as look at who else would see value from the brand in the social or economic sense.
