Employment Masterclass 2020: Investigating Suspected Fraud or Financial Impropriety

Fraud, including internal payroll fraud and external cybercrime, costs charities £2.3 billion per year. As well as the obvious financial impact, there are reputational, regulatory and staff management implications to address. Charities must take swift and decisive action in response to suspected fraud. Charity trustees also have a duty to ensure that they are taking appropriate steps to safeguard assets against the risk of fraud.
