This event is now over and took place on Thu 12 Nov 2015
Since 2012 the internet has seen a significant transformation with the addition of over 600 new types of domain names. This seminar will explore the opportunities for charities at this exciting new frontier in the development of the internet, as well discussing some of the challenges that lie ahead.
Why choose this seminar?
Charities have traditionally favoured the use of .org and .org.uk, but there are now many new alternatives. This seminar will provide practical information on the opportunities this offers charities. It will also consider cybersquatting issues and will provide an overview of the practical and cost-effective solutions for preventing unauthorised use of domain names which use a charity’s name.
Who should attend?
Anyone responsible for intellectual property, marketing and branding, senior managers and in-house legal counsel, particularly from the voluntary and public sectors.
