This event is now over and took place on Thu 16 May 2019
Since the publication of the NHS' Long Term Plan and the near arrival of the long awaited Social Care Green Paper, health and social care policy is becoming clearer. To mark this and to explore the impact of the policy directions on the role of social enterprises going forward, Social Enterprise UK will be holding the much anticipated Health and Social Care Conference 2019.
Many of our people will be leading surgeries throughout the day on different issues such as HR, Funding, Properties & leases, Immigration and Contracting. There will also be speaking slots from:
- Jim Clifford, Partner and Director of BWB Advisory and Impact, will be leading a workshop on why and how to measure social impact.
- Abbie Rumbold, Head of Health & Social Care, will be speaking on avoiding the bear traps of contracts and funding agreements.
This conference is a key opportunity to see how social enterprises are well placed to lead on innovative thinking and to demonstrate how to work with communities and with local people. Chair of NHS Improvement, Baroness Dido Harding will be delivering a keynote in the morning focusing on social care green paper and NHS Long Term Plan. Simon Devonshire OBE, Entrepreneur in Residence at the National Physical Laboratory will also inspire delegates with his talk on digital advances to improve health and social care.
If you work for health and social care organisations, social enterprises, charities, housing associations, NHS commissioners, local authorities, private providers or are involved in supporting social businesses, this event is not one to be missed.
