The Labour Government has repeatedly promised to deliver the “the biggest upgrade to rights at work for a generation” including a commitment to introduce an Employment Rights Bill within 100 days of coming to office.
Whilst the precise detail of the Bill currently remains to be seen, indications from the Government suggest we could likely see proposals relating to:
- Day 1 unfair dismissal rights;
- Introducing a ‘right to switch off’;
- Limiting the use of zero hours contracts; and
- Introducing a right for employees to make collective grievances directly to ACAS.
Join us on 23rd October at 12pm to explore the Bill (expected to be laid before Parliament by 12th October) and to understand what its contents mean for employers moving forwards.
