Rupert Earle and Andrew Wheelhouse have written an article for the Law Society Gazette regarding a recent defamation case involving social media.

The article centres around a case bought against Katie Hopkins and is the first judgment to grapple in detail with how to apply the requirement to prove serious harm, as required by the Defamation Act 2013, to what the judge described as the ‘dynamic and interactive’ conversational world of Twitter.
