Chetal Patel, partner in Bates Wells’ Immigration team, has blogged for the Law Society Gazette on the challenges charities face under the Home Office’s ‘compliant’ immigration environment.

In a wide-ranging piece for one of the legal sector’s leading trade publications, Chetal sets out how and why charities and others across the third sector need to prepare for compliance visits and other Home Office action in this area.

Noting that “it is important that charitable organisations which are sponsors revisit their current practices to avoid any unpleasant surprises”, Chetal also points out how charities with sponsor licenses need to be on top of reporting requirements and DBS checks as ordered by the Home Office.

You can read the rest of Chetal’s piece in the Gazette here.
