I am a chartered accountant and work with charities, social enterprises and commercial organisations on projects across Corporate finance transactions, Impact Management, and strategy; using business as a force for good.
I work with businesses on their strategy: how they can raise finance for a new project; how they can work more efficiently to increase profits, and “Impact management” – organisations who understand the positive impact they are having on people’s lives and/or the environment are able to operate sustainably, use their resources efficiently and engage with stakeholders (such as investors).
On transactions I advise organisations on potential growth strategies including mergers and acquisitions; company valuations and sale mandates, as well as working with organisations on their strategies for capital fundraising.
I also carry out social impact studies and develop impact measurement frameworks to help organisations to understand their social outcomes and enabling them to continually monitor and report on these to key stakeholders.
I work alongside organisations to develop their strategy; facilitating organisational and cultural change; delivering business efficiencies across organisations and considering governance issues in relation to strategic growth.
After completing my law degree, I joined Bates Wells in 2013, and worked as a paralegal in the Charity and Social Enterprise team, supporting clients on a range of matters: from setting up charities and Community Interest Companies, to assisting with the legal implications for organisations considering social finance solutions.
I produced the socio-economic model through which impact is calculated and guided this through a successful PwC assurance opinion. I continue to work with Hyde to manage and report on their impact.
I worked to increase team efficiency by facilitating change management / strategy meetings.
I also carried out the due diligence report, and supported negotiations.
