
I have a wide range of experience in commercial property transactions.
I act for investors who are buying and selling properties, and for landowners and developers on the acquisition and development of sites.
I’m a specialist in property finance work. So I advise lenders and borrowers on all the real estate aspects of finance transactions.
I also deal with landlord and occupiers work and general real estate management.
I helped negotiate a short term leaseback to allow them to find and fit out new premises, dealt with the security over the property for the deferred payments of the purchase price and advised on complicated overage arrangements.
We dealt with the refinancing of the various loan facilities, the novation or release of the existing security packages and the grant of new security packages over the properties and other assets. This involved over 100 legal documents, and liaising with the four lenders’ solicitors, the off shore administrators, the various landlords and the Land Registry to co-ordinate the transaction in a short timescale.
I have translated complicated practical issues (relating to the upkeep and fit out of the premises and the landlord’s redevelopment of the remainder of its estate) into the legal documents, to ensure a successful collaborative relationship between the landlord and the tenant going forwards.
