I’m a second-year Trainee Solicitor at Bates Wells. I spent my first three seats in the Dispute Resolution, Corporate & Commercial and Real Estate teams and I’m currently in Charity & Social Enterprise.

I have particular experience of advising healthcare and public sector clients on a wide range of commercial property matters, including leases, site acquisitions, capital grant agreements, disposals and regularisation of occupational arrangements. During my training contract, my work has included advising clients on a wide range of corporate matters with a particular focus on cross-border and domestic corporate transactions – including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganisation.

  • I assisted with advising the shareholders of a global electronic components distributor on the sale of the company’s entire issued share capital.
  • I have acted for banks on a range of matters, including an amendment and restatement of a facility agreement to enable security to be taken over replacement assets and a financing which involved taking security over a portfolio of freehold and leasehold properties.
  • I have experience of reporting on title for large development projects and undertaking due diligence on land disposals and acquisitions.
  • I assisted with a client’s acquisition of a construction consultancy company, together with a number of its subsidiaries.
  • I have acted for a range of public sector organisations on lease negotiations to address numerous undocumented tenancies, and advised various clients on the grant of leases (both as landlord and tenant).
  • I have experience of drafting cease and desist letters, and subsequent correspondence, arising from infringements of a national industry body’s trade marks.
