I am a paralegal in Bates Wells’ Dispute Resolution & Litigation team. I work across the department, assisting my colleagues with a variety of contentious matters, including contractual disputes, debt recovery claims, governance disputes, litigation relating to legacies, and trade mark infringements. I work with specialist colleagues in the Dispute Resolution, Media Disputes, Legacies and Trade Marks teams.
As well as conducting legal research into a variety of issues, I help with drafting legal documents such as claim forms, applications, witness statements and exhibits, and correspondence both before and during litigation. Where Court proceedings are needed (up to and including the Supreme Court, and in specialist courts like the Administrative, Technology and Construction, and Companies Courts) I am also experienced in procedures such as filing and service, and in dealing with Court personnel to make sure things go smoothly. I am also experienced in sourcing and instructing counsel.
