I am a first year Trainee here at Bates Wells. I am currently in my first seat, in the Dispute Resolution department, where I assist fee earners with a range of contentious issues. I have experience in conducting legal research on various areas of law, interviewing clients, drafting advice, and providing legal and administrative support to fee earners.
I assist with the work involving a coalition of leading charities seeking a landmark ruling on whether and how charities should align their investments with their objects and their duty to provide public benefit through either a Charity Commission reference or a declaration.
I was the objections paralegal for the Marine Stewardship Council and assisted the independent adjudicators in relation to objections to fisheries getting certified sustainable
Obviam is the fund manager for SIFEM (the Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets) and seeks to contribute to sustainable economic growth by investing in high impact investments in emerging and frontier markets. I assisted with the creation of their loan agreement templates, which they now use for their direct loan investments in frontier markets.
