We are seeking to appoint a newly or recently qualified solicitor (0 – 2 years PQE) to join our highly regarded specialist data and privacy team. This is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team where you will be encouraged and supported to take ownership of matters and work closely with clients and colleagues across the firm in an increasingly important area.

Prior experience of data protection and privacy law gained in commercial practice is essential, but you need not have focused solely on this area. If you are a general commercial lawyer from a private practice or commercial in-house background with significant data protection and privacy experience wishing to specialise in this area, we would love to hear from you.

The team deals with all aspects of data protection and privacy law – the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and e-privacy law, as well as new frameworks in both the UK and EU. We regularly help clients with complex matters that involve regulators and data subject rights as well as supporting clients in developing and implementing new technologies, including AI, in a compliant and ethical way and in core and day-to-day advisory work. The team’s current clients span a wide range of household name charities and grassroots and community organisations, as well as public bodies, commercial companies and thought leaders in social impact issues.

As a values-driven firm we show commitment to our clients, our people, the environment and society. We take into account the Climate Emergency and Biodiversity Crisis in developing our business strategy. We want to have a positive impact on our people who are our greatest asset so that they can have a positive impact on others.  Purpose is baked into our partnership deed.
