The Better Business Act is a proposed piece of legislation that could rewrite the rules for businesses in the UK. It would require businesses to not only benefit shareholders , but to seek to benefit people and planet. It amends the Companies Act by redefining directors’ duties.

In this video, Luke discusses why we think this change is important for the benefit of both business and society, why the case for a change in corporate governance is growing more urgent, and explains the role Bates Wells played in drafting the legislation.
