“Access to a career in the legal profession has long been regarded as the preserve of those from privileged backgrounds. The Solicitor Apprentice scheme is a fantastic way to break down those barriers and to ensure that the whole profession and industry gets the benefit of all those great minds and capable prospective lawyers for whom getting a career in the law might otherwise not be an option. I am therefore over the moon that we are introducing a Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme at Bates Wells. As well as providing a new avenue to qualification for talented aspiring solicitors, I believe that solicitor apprentices will enrich and contribute positively to our culture at Bates Wells. We are delighted to be taking this step to help widen access to the profession to students of all backgrounds.”
