In the wake of yesterday’s Home Office announcement confirming the precise details of the government’s new points-based system, comments from Chetal Patel have now been covered by leading charity and employment trade publications Third Sector and People Management.

Speaking to the Third Sector editorial team, Chetal highlighted what the reforms mean for charities, noting that “these changes present far-reaching challenges for charities that depend upon volunteers and low-skilled labour to stay afloat”.

Emphasising the significance of the Home Office’s plans, Chetal urges charity leadership teams to “prepare for a step change in their immigration arrangements over the next year”.

Chetal’s insights were also included in People Management’s coverage of the Home Office’s announcement. Commenting on the various changes in the visa system due to take place in 2020, she advised employers to ready themselves for the introduction of new visa routes as soon as this Autumn.
