We were contacted by an arts organisation with a “quick” question about whether one of their employees could do work for another organisation.  In the process, we discovered that there were a host of problems with the way that the individual had been sponsored and the organisation had made a number of sponsorship errors.

How did we help?

We provided in depth advice on where things had gone wrong with the sponsorship, including the actions that should have been taken and the potential impact both on the individual’s status in the UK and on the organisation’s licence to sponsor migrant workers.  We also provided strategic advice on what actions the organisation needed to take immediately to rectify the situation and conducted and audit of their record keeping, monitoring and reporting processes in order to provide detailed advice on how to make themselves compliant with UKVI requirements and ensure similar problems to do not recur.
