I am a trainee solicitor in the Charity and Social Enterprise department, supporting charities, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations.
Before starting my training contract, I worked as a paralegal in the Employment department, advising employers and employees on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. My experience included drafting letters and tribunal pleadings, conducting legal research and client interviews, assisting with court disclosure and reviewing workplace policies.
- Supporting on a pro-bono intervention in the Employment Appeal Tribunal on behalf of the whistleblowing charity Protect.
- Assisting counsel and a respondent charity client during a week-long tribunal hearing.
- Authoring articles on developments in employment law.
