Bates Wells is currently certified under version 1.6 of the B Corp certification standards. B Lab, the body responsible for the B Corp certification standards, has since published a substantive update to the standards – the latest version is now v2.2. The new standards take a different approach to assessing B Corp certification and are considered more rigorous compared to v1.6. B Corps are not required to recertify every year, but all B Corps will be required to certify under the latest version of the standards going forwards, whenever they are due to recertify. Bates Wells is due to recertify in August 2027.
