Bates Wells is currently certified under version 1.6 of the B Corp certification standards. B Lab, the body responsible for the B Corp certification standards, has published an updated version of its certification standards – v2.1. This new version takes a different approach to assessing B Corp certification and is considered more rigorous compared to v1.6. B Corps are not required to recertify every year, but all B Corps will be required to certify under v2.1 going forwards, whenever they are due to recertify. Bates Wells is due to recertify in August 2027 under the v2.1 standards.
