Charity Commission investigations can be prompted in many ways; for example, complaints to the Commission, publicity in the press and elsewhere and the submission of serious incident reports by the charity.
However they arise, and however successful the outcome, they can be stressful and resource intensive for all involved.
We can work with you to conduct a Charity Commission investigation health check, identifying vulnerabilities or areas of possible risk and working with you on an action plan to resolve these.
What does the health check include?
- We’ll send you a questionnaire in advance, highlighting the areas of charity governance and operations that are often either triggers for or common themes in Charity Commission investigations and providing an opportunity for you to highlight any concerns that are specific to your charity.
- We’ll then organise a one-hour meeting with your team to talk through any issues identified in your responses, and a practical action plan to take forward.
Who is this for?
- Senior leadership, trustees or the legal team in your charity.
