Experience

I’m a Senior Associate in the Immigration Department. My work bridges personal and business immigration, advising on applications based on family relationships alongside Global Talent, investor, entrepreneur and innovator founder applications. I am also experienced at advising on the work routes, UK Ancestry, education, citizenship and appeals work.

I have built up a particular expertise on advising employers and individuals on the implications of Brexit and the EU Settlement Scheme.

I have spoken at a number of events for the Creative Industries Federation and the Immigration Industry Association and provided training for ILPA. I was a panel member at the ILPA Conference on Family and Immigration Law. I have provided commentary for LexisNexis and the wider media.

I am recognised as a ‘Leading Associate’ by the Legal 500 directories, and in Chambers UK as a ‘Star Associate’ for Personal Immigration and as an ‘Associate to Watch’ for Business Immigration.

Highlights
  • Advised the partner of a successful cinematographer in a matter where complex finances complicated an immigration application.
  • Supported a high-net-worth Italian family, by gaining approved applications for Settled Status under the EU Settlement Scheme despite complications.
  • Advised an award-winning TV and video games writer on a Global Talent application through a detailed endorsement.
  • Supported a client who had inadvertently become an overstayer by preparing a detailed application for indefinite leave to remain, which was granted in spite of complications of their partner’s earnings.
  • Advised the wife of a high-net-worth individual in a complex matter involving cross-border circumstances and prepared detailed representations to the Home Office to argue for indefinite leave to remain.
  • Assisted a client in making her application to regularise her status in the UK based on the Private and Family life she had established.
  • Advised brothers with dual citizenship on applying for their elderly parents for a longer-term permission stay in the UK.
  • Supported a client with their indefinite leave to remain application complicated by regular absences due to their work postings for international humanitarian organisations.
  • Advised a client on a Tech Nation endorsement for a Global Talent visa by helping to establish their position as a leading talent in a niche field.
