Experience

I am currently a second seat trainee in the Immigration department, assisting fee earners with a range of corporate and personal immigration matters, and building on my previous experience as an immigration paralegal prior to joining Bates Wells.

I am a second year Trainee here at Bates Wells. I am currently in my a fourth seat, in the Dispute Resolution department, where I assist fee earners with a range of contentious issues.

Highlights

  • Public & Regulatory

    I assisted with a range of work covering areas such as freedom of information, local government audit, professional misconduct, professional regulation and inquests, for clients that included public sector bodies and charities, amongst others.

  • Immigration

    I assisted fee earners with a range of corporate and personal immigration matters including applications under Tier 2, Tier 5, Global Talent, Appendix FM, the domestic worker rules, applications outside the immigration rules, and several appeals that raised important Human Rights issues.

  • Charity and Social Enterprise

    I assisted fee earners across the department with a range of matters including advising on legal structures, charitable status, engagement with the Charity Commission, commercial contracts and governance reviews.
