I am currently a second seat trainee in the Immigration department, assisting fee earners with a range of corporate and personal immigration matters, and building on my previous experience as an immigration paralegal prior to joining Bates Wells.

My first seat was in Charity and Social Enterprise, where I assisted fee earners across the department with a range of matters including advising on legal structures, charitable status, engagement with the Charity Commission, commercial contracts and governance reviews.

Before starting my training contract, I was a programme officer for LawWorks’ Not-for-Profits Programme, brokering pro bono legal support for small not-for-profit organisations. During my legal studies, I worked part time for a small charity. These experiences gave me valuable insights into the charity sector, a key client base for Bates Wells.
