I am a partner in the Real Estate department acting for commercial, charity and private clients in all aspects of transactions involving commercial property, including general commercial property work, both transactional and management, sales, purchases, developments and refinancings.

  • I advised on technical aspects of charity property law for a large charity in structuring its new head office and charity hub arrangements.

  • I advised on property matters in relation to development projects for charities in the area of housing for the homeless.
  • I acted for various trade associations and employer federations in their property matters and relocations.
  • I advised a private care home operator on property aspects of its business re-structuring.
  • I acted for a number of large national charities advising on their property portfolios.
  • I advised heritage charities on the property aspects of spinning out services from local authorities including memorials and grade 1 and grade 2 listed buildings.
  • I advised a London art gallery on receiving a donation of property.
  • I acted for a number of leisure centre owners and operators on their property issues including in relation to the construction and leasing of padel tennis courts.
  • I acted on the grant of leases of advertising hoardings with profit share arrangements.
  • I acted for a large national union on its property portfolio.
  • Acted on behalf of a household youth organisation with the sale of its activity centres through drafting and negotiating complex transaction documents.
  • Represented a UK-based cancer charity with international networks in purchasing a long leasehold interest, involving the assignment of collateral warranties and complex issues relating to intervening lease, use of common areas, and building management.
  • Advised a household Armed Forces charity in the sale of its Grade II listed property including parallel lease renewal negotiations for a tenant occupying part of the property.
  • Advised a leading UK arts charity on the seven-figure sale of its property, which involved complicated planning and title issues requiring various statutory declarations.
  • Advised an international aid charity on a legacy gift of properties to the charity as part of an estate which included some complicated tenancy, and environmental issues.
