I am a Solicitor in the Public and Regulatory team at Bates Wells.

I advise clients on a broad range of public law matters, including both contentious and advisory work. I have worked with public bodies, schools and education providers, charities, private sector bodies and individuals.

Highlights
  • Assisting in successfully defending two discrimination claims against a primary school, which were dismissed in full following final hearings.
  • Working in the team advising a Core Participant in connection with a major public inquiry.
  • Assisting in successfully challenging a local authority’s decision to close a school.
  • Advising an individual on their duties in providing evidence to a parliamentary select committee.
  • Assisting in advising charities and organisations on a wide range of constitutional and governance matters, including structuring and incorporating new organisations, making constitutional changes, or updating governing documents and policies to best suit their needs in line with current law and best practice.
  • In-house secondment with an international philanthropic organisation.
