Experience

I advise public bodies, regulators, charities, private sector bodies and individuals on public law and regulatory issues, both in and out of court. I represent both claimants and defendants in judicial reviews. I have worked on a wide range of statutory appeals, regulatory disputes and civil proceedings, as well as working on high-profile public inquiries and parliamentary select committees.

I regularly act for charities and other not-for-profits campaigning for legislative change, including by drafting private members’ bills and amendments to public legislation. I also work for charities on a range of other advisory and contentious matters, including in inquests, appeals against the Charity Commission and complex regulatory issues.

I advise clients on the full range of public and regulatory law issues including human rights, equality and discrimination, freedom of information, professional discipline, subsidy control, public rights of way, safeguarding and local government law.
