I am a solicitor in the Charity and Social Enterprise team. I previously trained with Bates Wells and prior to this worked as a paralegal at a military legal charity. I advise charities, not-for-profits and mission oriented businesses on a range of legal issues including structuring, establishment, incorporation, governance, conversions and general charity and commercial law matters.

Additionally, I take an active role in various diversity and inclusion matters within the firm, including my role as an ambassador for our disability and carers network and in organising an event for Holocaust Memorial Day each year.

  • I previously worked at the Centre for Military Justice as a paralegal supporting the Director on cases of sexual violence, sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying. This involved a mix of legal work, research and policy work and fundraising.
  • I’ve advised several organisations on how to set up and register as a charity in the UK.
  • I’ve worked with trustees of a charity on how to deal with serious incident reports.
  • I’ve advised a number of charities on various constitutional and governance matters, including updating governing documents and policies in line with current law and best practice or to adapt them to best suit their needs.
  • I’ve assisted on the formation of social enterprises, including community interest companies
