Our webinar Getting to grips with the new Data Protection Bill took place on 23rd March. If you were able to attend, we hope you found it useful.

During this session, our Data & Privacy experts analysed what the practical implications are likely to be for your organisation (public, private or third sector), and what you will need to do to prepare.
 
The session covered the impact of the Bill on organisations’ day-to-day operations, including in relation to:

• Data Sharing (including international data transfers);
• Accountability (e.g. in the context of ROPAs and DPOs);
• Data subjects’ rights; and
• Direct marketing and cookies (including the soft opt-in exemption).  

We also did touch on the broader context of the Bill and its effect on the UK as a place to do business.
