Arbitration

Arbitration has many parallels with litigation but can often be an attractive option.

Arbitration can be more flexible – hearings can take place in unconventional locations and in some cases there will be a greater ability to utilise technology to speed the process up. The entire process is also usually conducted in private, which can be appealing to parties wishing to prevent trade secrets or other sensitive information from entering the public domain.

We are highly experienced in domestic and international arbitration and have arbitrated in institutions including LCIA, ICC, UNCITRAL, DIFC, GAFTA and many others.

How we can help

We can deliver expert advice on strategy and tactics depending on your requirements. We have an excellent track record of successful resolution of disputes by award or by negotiated settlement (including mediation).

We also have access to colleagues in over 150 other jurisdictions in case local advice becomes necessary.
