Experience

I help investors, social enterprises and development finance institutions use capital as a force for positive change. I began my career in 2009 as a banking lawyer at Clifford Chance in London and Madrid, where I advised banks and companies on leveraged and investment grade financings. I then moved in-house, most recently as Co-Head of Legal at GuarantCo, where I spent seven years supporting clients with guarantee and blended finance transactions in Africa and Asia. I joined Bates Wells in July 2026 and draw on my experience in private practice and in-house settings to advise on complex development finance, impact investing and blended finance transactions across emerging markets.

My specialisms include development finance, blended finance, sustainable finance, impact investing, guarantees and credit enhancement structures, social investment and cross-border financing arrangements.
