There is significant pressure on organisations to start using AI in order to create efficiencies. There are also increasing numbers of developers in the market who claim that their solutions are UK GDPR compliant.
This session helps you to get to grips with the legal and ethical considerations in developing or deploying an AI system. Based on real-life scenarios we’ll take you through how to consider AI systems from a data protection perspective. It will help you to ensure that the use of these systems is transparent, fair and lawful. It will also help you to navigate question of how responsibilities for compliance should be apportioned as between the developer and the deployer of the system.
By the end of the session participants should be better able to:
- Identify the questions they need to ask
- Ensure that there is a robust use case for investing in the technology
- Decide who is a controller and who is a processor in this context
- Highlight the key risks and how to deal with them including fairness and transparency
- Put in place a credible analysis of the system which will act as an insurance in the event of a complaint and also help with commercial aspects including marketing the system to clients.
