The combined harms of the fast fashion sector exceed most other industries due to unsustainable business models that exploit cheap labour, focus on over production and consumption, and cause enormous damage to the environment. But the fashion industry is also home to many creative and innovative brands who care deeply about the environment and society, and who seek to operate sustainably within planetary boundaries.

We are proud to support a wide range of responsible businesses and organisations in the fashion and textile sector, from start-ups to heritage and international brands, corporate foundations and not for profit advocacy groups. Our goal is to help our clients realise their full potential and to have a positive impact on the environment and society.

We are regularly invited to share our expertise at industry-leading events where circular economy, decarbonisation, sustainability and innovation are the priority topics, and we are also working with leaders in the sustainable fashion space to drive policy and regulatory reform in the United Kingdom.

We are passionate about helping brands to have a positive impact and become more sustainable. If you are looking to do better with your business practices, we’d love to help.

Our work

We work with a diverse range of clients which include international brands, start-ups, corporate foundations and advocacy groups. Every area of our practice is focused on helping you achieve your sustainability and ESG goals, taking an innovative and tailored approach.

Examples of our work in the sector:

  • We advised a classic British heritage UK designer and brand to advise on their approach to sustainability as an organisation and throughout their global supply chains. We also advised on carbon emission and sustainability objectives in their master franchise agreement, and provided guidance on compliance with sustainability legislation.
  • We advised a range of international brands on the establishment and operation of their corporate foundations.
  • We supported a well-known online marketplace that provides pre-owned clothes on various commercial arrangements such as their shopper terms and conditions.
  • We advised investors of Green Angel Syndicate, the only UK angel investment syndicate specialising in the fight against Climate Change and Global Warming.
  • We advised a portfolio of global brands in respect of a wholesale agreement for the supply of selected products to John Lewis, demonstrating our understanding of the consumer products wholesale market and our ability to advise on “market standards” in the industry. We also advised one of their subsidiary brands on their ESG strategy.
  • We advised a luxury fashion brand on key charity law issues, and a sports brand on the launch of a non–profit media platform at the World Economic Forum.
  • We provided trade mark advice to a well-known B Corp outdoor apparel company with a focus on functional and sustainable products.
