I am a solicitor in Bates Wells’ Charity and Social Enterprise team, and joined the team in March 2019 having completing my training contract at Addleshaw Goddard. I advise charities and not-for-profits on a range of issues from incorporation to campaigning and political activity.

I am a member of the Politics, Elections and Campaigning; Equality Act and Safeguarding sector groups, and have a particular interest in advising mental health, homelessness and campaigning organisations.

  • I have advised charities on political activity and campaigning, and how charity law affects a charity’s campaigning activity
  • I have advised charities on commercial participator arrangements, including advice on setting up a trading subsidiary
  • I have advised charities, and connected parties, on grant agreements including advice on complying with Charity Commission guidance on connected parties.
